The 680 14 & Under Boys program is undergoing changes in the winter season. As a nationally competitive club focusing on elite water polo standards, we continuously review and refine our age-group programs to match our players' levels. To address challenges in managing multiple program levels, especially in older age groups, we're refining the 14 & Under category. This involves adjusting commitment levels for selected players in higher-level training, offering a more personalized experience.
Furthermore, we'll enhance the learn-to-play category for young athletes, aiming to improve their development and overall experience. Our program prioritizes top-level athletes with smaller group settings to maximize growth. While we're dedicated to nurturing a passion for youth water polo and providing learning opportunities, managing various levels has presented challenges.
During the first week of the season, the 14u boys' coaching staff will evaluate players, aiming to optimize the program's growth. This may involve a cut process for players not meeting the program's designed playing level.
The coaching staff will inform the players and parents of the expectations and process of being selected to play for the elevated level of 680 Water Polo.
