680 Travel Tournaments

 

680 Water Polo will send select teams from different age groups to several prestigious tournaments throughout the year.  Not all 680 players will be invited; the particular age-group coaches select each roster.  Listed below are the tournaments we annually travel to. 

 

 

 

Evan Cousineau Memorial Cup

Area: Irvine area. Home Pool: Woollett Aquatics Center (4601 Walnut Ave, Irvine, CA 92604)

Time: Typically, the second weekend in October

Teams: 680 typically sends 12u girls, 12u boys, 14u girls and 14u boys 
 

 

Kap7 International

Area: Irvine area. Home Pool: Home Pool: Woollett Aquatics Center (4601 Walnut Ave, Irvine, CA 92604)

Time: Typically, the first or second weekend in February

Teams: 680 typically sends 10u girls, 10u coed, 12u girls, 12u boys, 14u girls, 14u boys, 16u boys, and 18u boys 
 

 

Cal Cup State Finals

Two seprate tournament times.  "Youngers" 12 & 14 and "Olders "16s & 18s.

Area: Tournaments locations change yearly with no set pattern between Northern California and Southern California.

Time: Typically, late March - early April.

Teams: 680 typically sends 12u girls, 14u girls, 16u girls, 18u girls

San Diego County Cup

Area: All of San Diego County. Home Pool: Southwestern College (900 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista, CA 91910)

Time: Typically, the first weekend in May

Teams: 680 typically sends 10u girls, 10u coed, 12u girls, 12u boys, 14u girls and 14u boys 
 

 

Futures Super Final

Area: Odd years, the tournament is held in Northern California (South and East Bay).  Even years, the tournament is held in Southern California (Irvine).  

Time: Typically the last weekend in June.

Teams: 680 typically sends 12u girls & boys, 14u girls & boys, 16u girls & boys, 18u girls & boys

 

US Club Water Polo Championships

Area: The tournament is held in the Inland Empire area (Norco and Corona area) 

Time: Typically, the last weekend in June.

Teams: 680 typically sends 12u girls, 14u girls, 16u girls, 18u girls

Junior Olympics

Home Pool: Even years, the tournament is held in Northern California (South Bay).  Odd years, the tournament is held in Southern California (Irvine).  

Time: Boys (10u-18u) typically, the third weekend in July (4-day tournament - Saturday to Tuesday). Girls and 10u Co-Ed, typically the third Thursday in July (4-day tournament - Thursday to Sunday).

Teams: 680 typically sends several teams from all ages groups
